'Hobbs & Shaw' Sengaja Dicipta Sebagai Landasan Untuk Lebih Banyak Spin-off

Dunia filem Fast & Furious kali ini dikembangkan lagi dengan kemunculan filem Hobbs & Shaw di pawagam. Filem spin-off kedua selepas filem Tokyo Drift ini merupakan filem yang mengeluarkan dua watak dari filem asal iaitu Hobbs dan Shaw dalam satu misi baru. Watak Hobbs mula muncul dalam francais Fast and Furious menerusi filem kelima manakala Shaw pula menerusi filem keenam.

Bercakap kepada Screenrant sempena promosi filem Hobbs & Shaw, pengarah filem tersebut, David Leitch dan penulis lakon layar Chris Morgan mendedahkan yang filem ini dibina sebagai landasan untuk lebih banyak spin-off di masa hadapan.

David Leitch: My intention was, and I hope that the studio hears that, is that we wanted to build a world that was fertile ground for spin-offs. When I came on board, the idea was, "How can I immediately with this film, strike a pose to build out Hobbs' and Shaw's individual worlds so that they could do their own their own films?" But then also, characters in that world could have the ability to do their own, as well.

And if you look at it, we have movie stars in this movie. Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, these other people we can't mention. You realize that there's potential for a lot of avenues for just the Hobbs and Shaw universe to go.

Chris Morgan: "Hopefully the audience responds to that, and if so, we have many other adventures. And frankly, I'd like to see that done with the other characters as well. I'd like to know what makes , more of the Fast world tick."

"If the world wants to see more of it, we have some really fun ideas."

Hobbs & Shaw membina filem dengan gayanya jauh dari francais asal. Walaupun filrm ni tidak digemari pelakon asal francais Fast & Furious, tindakan untuk membuat filem ini akhirnya membuatkan para penonton berpeluang menonton filem Fast & Furious tanpa watak Dom. Jadi, penonton diberikan filem yang baru dengan harapan ianya mengembangkan lagi francais berkenaan.

Namun, kemungkinan untuk lebih banyak spin-off di masa hadapan akan bergantung kepada kutipan filem Hobbs & Shaw. Jika mahu lebih banyak spin-off di masa hadapan, maka filem ni harus berjaya dan membuktikan bahawa penonton memang mahukan francais Fast & Furious seperti ini.
