Michael Bay Upah Pemandu Drone Umur 19 Tahun Untuk Bikin Syot Filem 'Ambulance'

Selepas tidak lagi terlibat dengan filem filem Transformers (tonton sini), Michael Bay hadir dengan filem aksi terbarunya, Ambulance. Filem yang menampilkan gandingan Jack Gylenhall dan Yahya Abdul Mateen II itu merupakan sebuah filem yang meriah dengan syot FPV drone yang unik.

Ambulance merupakan filem yang diadaptasi daripada filem Danish tahun 2005 yang mempunyai kisah yang sama. Namun, yang berbezanya ialah style Michael Bay.

Untuk merakam adegan aksi filem ini dalam cara unik, Michael Bay telah mengupah pemain drone berumur 19 tahun, Alex Vanover. Alex Vanover bukan calang-calang orang. Dia ialah pemandu drone yang pernah memenangi 2019 DRL World Championship pada umur muda.

When I’m flying the drone, I’m acting like Superman, in a way. I’m trying to get these really unique angles and shots. I fly what’s called an FPV drone, and FPV stands for first-person view. We wear a set of goggles on our face, and when I’m flying the drone, I’m actually flying it with a VR headset. I’m able to see exactly what the drone’s seeing in real-time. So, it’s a whole new arena for flying, and it allows us to fly really crazy locations and get some really awesome shots that you can’t get with any other camera or drone.

Ambulance gagal mendapat tempat di hati penonton apabila hanya memperoleh USD52 juta daripada bajet filem ini yang berjumlah USD40 juta.
