Jason Statham Bertarung Dengan Jerung Dalam 'The Meg'

Warner Bros kini menerbitkan sinopsis rasmi filem The Meg. Filem monster movie yang mana ditunggu-tunggu ini dianjak tayangan ke musim panas 2018 dan tajuknya diubah daripada The Meg menjadi Meg.

The Meg ialah adaptasi novel Steve Alten tahun 1997 berkenaan jerung Megalodon zaman purba yang keluar dari jurang Mariana. Buku tersebut sangat berjaya sehingga diterbitkan sehingga 5 sekuel dan menjadi sebuah francais.

Berikut ialah sinopsis filem Meg yang diberikan Warner Bros:

“A deep-sea submersible – part of an international undersea observation program – has been attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific… with its crew trapped inside. With time running out, expert deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao), against the wishes of his daughter Suyin (Li Bingbing), to save the crew – and the ocean itself – from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. What no one could have imagined is that, years before, Taylor had encountered this same terrifying creature. Now, teamed with Suyin, he must confront his fears and risk his own life to save everyone trapped below… bringing him face to face once more with the greatest and largest predator of all time.”

Selain Statham, filem ini juga akan dibintangi oleh Jessica McNamee, Ruby Rose dan Rainn Wilson. Disahkan juga oleh Warner Bros yang filem ini mendapat rating PG-13. Ini bermakna penonton tidak perlu risau dengan keganasan yang dipaparkan dalam filem ini.

The Meg selesai pengambaran sekitar tahun ini dan sekarang berada di tahap post production. Statham menyatakan bahawa filem tersebut ialah gabungan Jaws dan Jurassic Park dan sangat menarik. Nantikan The Meg di pawagam pada Ogos 2018!
