Perang Gibson - Johnson Masih Belum Reda

Rupanya belum reda lagi perang antara Dwayne Johnson dan Tyrese Gibson tentang 'spin-off' Fast & Furious yang bakal dibikin. Terbaru, pelakon itu menyatakan bahawa filem yang bakal dibikin itu bersifat pentingkan diri.

Akibat tindakan itu, Gibson dikecam kerana menimbulkan isu tersebut. 

TMZ telah menemubual Tyrese Gibson dan sempat menanyakan perihal isu berkenaan. 

“I don’t know what they’re doing. Everybody coming at me like I’m hating on Dwayne about his spinoff, but I’m not. The truth is, I just wish he was releasing it at a different time. It’s not a conflict, it’s just The Fast and the Furious is like a holiday. The Fast and the Furious family – the fans, the tribe, the people that’s been rocking with us for 16 years – you know, pushing our release date back… it’s only happened one time in the history of the Fast and the Furious [franchise], is when we lost our brother, Paul Walker. So, what’s the reason we’re pushing the release date back now? So, you know, I just got a problem with Dwayne; it appears he’s being selfish. It appears that he’s so focused on furthering his own self-interest, he’s making decisions from the seat he’s sitting on. Fast and Furious 9 is not coming out until 2020… it’s f***ed up.”

Gibson menegaskan bahawa beliau tidak membenci Dwayne Johnson  tetapi sebaliknya berharap bahawa filem tersebut tidak diterbitkan pada masa sekarang. Malangnya, kenyataan itu masih belum diterima oleh Dwayne Johnson.

Dwayne Johnson menggunakan sebuah video yang pernah dimuat naik pada  2015 untuk menyerang kembali kenyataan Gibson.

Terdahulu, Universal Studios mengumumkan bahawa filem 'spin-off' Fast & Furious bakal dibikin dan akan terbit pada 2019.

Disebabkan hal itu, filem Fast & Furious 9 dipinda dari 19 April 2019 ke 20 April 2020. Tyrese lalu menyuarakan ketidakpuasan hatinya dan kemudiannya dibalas oleh Dwayne Johnson.

Tyrese pernah memberitahu bahawa dia pernah ditawarkan 'spin-off' watak mereka sendiri namun menolak kerana setiakawan antara pelakon. 

Vin Diesel pula bersuara menyatakan bahawa dia tidak mahu campur dalam hal itu. 

Apapun, studio besar itu sudah mengesahkan filem 'spin-off' tersebut dan hakikat filem Fast & Furious 9 dipinda terpaksa diterima.
